Rich and Savory Beef with a Creamy Holiday Mushroom Sauce
Ingredients:
- 1 package of diced smoked sausage or ham (for a smoky, savory addition)
- 4 beef medallions (sirloin or tenderloin cuts work well)
- 2 tbsp minced garlic
- 8 oz pre-sliced mushrooms
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1 oz shredded Parmesan cheese
- Salt, pepper, and garlic powder to taste
Directions:
- Cut the smoked sausage or ham into small pieces and cook in a large pan over medium-high heat until browned. Set the pieces aside, leaving any juices in the pan.
- Flatten each beef medallion slightly using plastic wrap and a meat tenderizer for even cooking.
- Season both sides of the beef with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Place the medallions in the pan with the sausage or ham drippings. Sear over medium-high heat to your preferred doneness, browning both sides. Set aside when done.
- In the same pan, add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds. Then, add mushrooms and cook for about 10 minutes, or until they are golden and tender.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese, heavy whipping cream, and the smoked sausage or ham. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and cook until the sauce thickens.
- Serve the creamy mushroom sauce over the beef medallions and enjoy!
This dish combines savory beef with a creamy sauce, making it a perfect addition to a cozy holiday meal with friends and family.
