Ingredients:
- 1 ยฝ pounds ground beef
- 1 onion, minced
- 1 taco seasoning packet
- ยฝ cup sour cream
- ยฝ cup mayonnaise
- ยฝ cup shredded cheddar cheese, divided
- ยฝ cup shredded pepper jack cheese, divided
- One 4-ounce can diced green chilies, drained
- 2 cups Bisquick
- 1 cup water
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC).
- In a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef with the taco seasoning until browned.
- Add the minced onion and diced green chilies to the skillet, cooking until the onion is tender and slightly browned, about 5 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix the sour cream, mayonnaise, and half of each cheese (cheddar and pepper jack). Set aside.
- In another bowl, combine the Bisquick and water, stirring until a soft dough forms.
- Spread the Bisquick dough evenly into a greased 9-by-13-inch casserole dish.
- Layer the cooked ground beef mixture over the Bisquick dough.
- Spread the sour cream mixture on top of the beef layer.
- Sprinkle the remaining cheddar and pepper jack cheese over the top.
- Bake for 30 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbly and golden brown on top.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving.
