Shrimp and Broccoli Stir Fry in Garlic Sauce

Ingredients

For the Shrimp Marinade:

  • 14 oz shrimp (peeled, deveined)

  • ¼ tsp salt

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • ⅓ tsp black pepper

  • 2 tsp vegetable oil

For the Garlic Sauce:

  • ½ cup water

  • ½ tsp sugar

  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce

  • ½ tbsp hoisin sauce

  • 2 tsp cornstarch

  • 1 tsp dark soy sauce

Other:

  • 23 tbsp vegetable oil

  • 12 oz broccoli

  • 8 cloves garlic, diced

  • ½ tbsp minced ginger

  • A few red dried chilies (optional)

  • 2 tbsp water

Instructions

  1. Pat shrimp dry and marinate with salt, paprika, pepper, and oil.

  2. Mix sauce ingredients in a bowl. Set aside.

  3. Cut broccoli into florets. Dice garlic and ginger. Prep chilies (optional).

  4. Heat wok over high heat. Add oil. Stir-fry shrimp until pink, about 2–3 min. Remove.

  5. Reduce heat. Sauté garlic, ginger, chilies, and broccoli for 1–2 min.

  6. Add 2 tbsp water. Cover and steam broccoli 2–3 min.

  7. Pour in sauce and return shrimp. Stir until sauce thickens.

  8. Serve hot over rice or noodles.
