8 slices white or wheat bread

4 tbsp Nutella

¼ cup milk

1 large egg (or 2 medium)

2 tbsp sugar

¼ tsp vanilla extract

3 tbsp sugar (for coating)

1 tsp cinnamon

3 tbsp butter

Maple syrup (optional)
Instructions

Trim crusts from bread and flatten each slice with a rolling pin.

Spread about ½ tbsp of Nutella on each slice and roll tightly.

In a shallow bowl, whisk together milk, egg, sugar, and vanilla.

In another bowl, mix cinnamon and sugar.

Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.

Dip each roll-up into the egg mixture, then sauté until golden on all sides (about 2 minutes total).

Immediately roll in cinnamon sugar.

Serve warm with maple syrup if desired.
