Ingredients
- 1 ½ lbs salmon fillet, skin-on or skinless
- ¼ cup butter, melted
- 3 tbsp honey
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp soy sauce (adds a rich umami flavor!)
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard (for extra depth, optional)
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp paprika (for color and flavor)
- ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for a spicy kick)
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- Lemon slices, for garnish
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Oven & Foil Packet
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil, leaving enough overhang to wrap around the salmon.
Step 2: Make the Honey Garlic Butter Sauce
- In a small bowl, whisk together:
- Melted butter
- Honey
- Minced garlic
- Lemon juice
- Soy sauce
- Dijon mustard
- Salt, pepper, paprika, and red pepper flakes
- Stir until well combined and set aside.
Step 3: Season & Coat the Salmon
- Place the salmon fillet in the center of the foil (skin-side down if using skin-on).
- Pour the honey garlic butter sauce evenly over the salmon.
- Sprinkle with fresh parsley and add a few lemon slices on top.
Step 4: Wrap & Bake
- Fold the foil over the salmon and seal it tightly to create a packet.
- Place on a baking sheet and bake for 15-18 minutes, depending on the thickness of your salmon.
Step 5: Broil for a Golden Finish (Optional)
- Carefully open the foil and broil the salmon for 2-3 minutes to caramelize the top.
- Watch closely to avoid burning!
Step 6: Serve & Enjoy!
- Garnish with extra parsley and lemon slices.
