Perfect for dipping, meal prepping, or serving at a party, these taquitos are baked or air-fried for a crispy golden finish without deep frying.

Ingredients

  • 1 rotisserie chicken, shredded
  • 1 block (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/3 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup salsa
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 cup shredded Mexican cheese (cheddar or Monterey Jack)
  • 10 small flour tortillas
  • Cooking spray or olive oil

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat & Prepare

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) or set your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

Step 2: Make the Filling

  1. In a large bowl, mix together shredded chicken, cream cheese, sour cream, salsa, garlic powder, cumin, and chili powder.
  2. Stir in shredded cheese until well combined.

Step 3: Assemble the Taquitos

  1. Warm tortillas for 10-15 seconds in the microwave to make them more flexible.
  2. Spoon 2-3 tablespoons of the chicken mixture onto one side of each tortilla.
  3. Roll the tortilla tightly, placing it seam-side down on the baking sheet.

Step 4: Bake or Air Fry

  • To Bake: Lightly spray taquitos with cooking spray or brush with oil. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
  • To Air Fry: Place taquitos in a single layer in the air fryer basket and air fry for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through.
