There’s something truly magical about a warm, cheesy sandwich dipped in savory, rich au jus. French Dip Sliders take everything great about the traditional sandwich and make it even more convenient.

Ingredients

For the sliders:

  • 12 soft slider buns (Hawaiian rolls or brioche work great)
  • 1 lb roast beef, thinly sliced (deli-style or homemade)
  • 8 slices provolone cheese (or Swiss for a classic touch)
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

For the Au Jus Dipping Sauce:

  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

1. Make the Au Jus

  • In a small saucepan, combine beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
  • Bring to a simmer over medium heat and let it cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Remove from heat and keep warm until ready to serve.

2. Assemble the Sliders

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Slice the slider buns in half, keeping the bottom half intact.
  • Place the bottom buns on a greased baking dish or sheet pan.
  • Layer the roast beef evenly over the buns.
  • Add a slice of provolone cheese over each piece of beef.
  • Place the top half of the buns back on.

3. Make the Butter Glaze

  • In a small bowl, mix melted butter, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and Worcestershire sauce.
  • Brush the tops of the buns generously with this mixture to give them a golden, flavorful finish.

4. Bake Until Golden & Gooey

  • Cover with foil and bake for 10 minutes to let the cheese melt.
  • Remove the foil and bake for another 5 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and slightly crispy.

5. Serve with Au Jus

  • Remove the sliders from the oven and let them cool for a couple of minutes.
  • Slice them into individual sliders and serve with warm au jus for dipping.

Notes

🔥 Use high-quality roast beef – Whether from a deli or homemade, good beef makes all the difference.
