Ingredients
1 box devil’s food cake mix
1 (3.9 oz) box instant chocolate pudding mix
2 cups cold milk
1 (12 oz) bag chocolate chips
½ cup unsalted butter, sliced into pats
(Optional) ½ cup nuts or marshmallows
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F and grease 9×13 baking dish.
Whisk pudding mix with cold milk until thick.
Spread pudding in bottom of pan.
Sprinkle dry cake mix evenly over pudding — do not stir.
Sprinkle chocolate chips evenly over cake mix.
Dot with butter slices across the top.
Bake 35–40 min, until bubbling around edges and mostly set in the middle.
Cool 10 min. Scoop and serve warm with ice cream!
