Classic Meatloaf with Bread Crumbs

Ingredients

  • lbs ground beef (80/20)

  • 1 cup plain bread crumbs

  • 2 eggs

  • ½ cup milk

  • 1 small onion, finely chopped

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 1½ tsp salt

  • ½ tsp black pepper

For Glaze:

  • ½ cup ketchup

  • 2 tbsp brown sugar

  • 1 tsp mustard or vinegar (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease loaf pan or line baking sheet.

  2. In a large bowl, combine beef, breadcrumbs, eggs, milk, onion, garlic, Worcestershire, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until combined.

  3. Shape into a loaf and place in pan. Spread half the glaze over top.

  4. Bake 45 minutes, then add remaining glaze. Bake 15–20 more minutes or until internal temp is 160°F.

  5. Rest 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
