Golden, gooey, and packed with toasty pecans, itโ€™s the kind of dessert that brings comfort with every bite. Whether youโ€™re already a fan or new to this classic, letโ€™s explore why pecan pie has such a firm place in Americaโ€™s culinary soul.

Ingredients

๐Ÿฅง For the Pie:

  • 1 unbaked 9-inch deep-dish pie crust
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 3 large eggs ๐Ÿฅš
  • 1/3 cup melted unsalted butter ๐Ÿงˆ
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cups pecan halves or pieces (toasted, if desired) ๐ŸŒฐ

Optional (but awesome):

  • 1 tbsp bourbon ๐Ÿฅƒ (adds depth!)
  • Whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for serving ๐Ÿฆ

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC).
  2. Place your pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish. Crimp the edges as you like.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the corn syrup, brown sugar, eggs, butter, vanilla, and salt until well combined.
  4. Stir in the pecans and optional bourbon.
  5. Pour the filling into the unbaked pie shell.
  6. Bake for 50โ€“60 minutes, or until the center is set but still slightly jiggly. If the crust starts browning too fast, cover the edges with foil.
  7. Cool completely before slicing โ€” this allows the filling to fully set.

Notes

Tip from Grandmaโ€™s Kitchen ๐Ÿ‘ต๐Ÿผ:

Want a little twist? Add a handful of chocolate chips ๐Ÿซ to the filling before baking for a rich, sweet surprise.
