Ingredients
1 medium head green cabbage, chopped (about 6 cups)
1 tbsp olive oil
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
1 tsp dried thyme
1 cup sour cream
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 large eggs, beaten
½ cup breadcrumbs (optional)
1 tbsp melted butter (optional)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
In a skillet, heat olive oil. Sauté onion for 5 minutes, then garlic for 1 minute.
Add chopped cabbage. Cook 8–10 minutes, until softened. Season with salt, pepper, and thyme.
In a bowl, mix sour cream, cheeses, and eggs.
Stir in the cooked cabbage until well combined.
Pour into baking dish. Mix breadcrumbs with melted butter and sprinkle on top (if using).
Bake 30–35 minutes until golden and bubbly.
Let rest 5–10 minutes before serving.
