Mexican Fried Ice Cream
Crunchy on the outside, creamy on the inside, and topped with whipped cream and syrup—this dessert is unforgettable.

Ingredients

For the Ice Cream Balls:

  • 4 large scoops vanilla ice cream

  • 2 cups cornflakes, crushed

  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar

  • 2 eggs

  • 2 tbsp milk

  • Vegetable oil, for frying

For Topping:

  • Whipped cream

  • Honey or chocolate syrup

  • Cinnamon sugar

  • Maraschino cherries

Instructions

  1. Form balls: Scoop ice cream into 4 balls. Freeze 2+ hours until firm.

  2. Mix coatings: Combine crushed cornflakes, cinnamon, sugar. In another bowl, whisk eggs and milk.

  3. Coat: Roll frozen balls in cornflake mix, dip in egg, then roll again. Freeze another 2+ hours.

  4. Heat oil: Heat 2″ oil to 375°F (190°C).

  5. Fry: Fry each ball for 8–10 seconds until golden. Drain on paper towels.

  6. Serve: Top with whipped cream, syrup, cinnamon sugar, and a cherry. Enjoy immediately!
