1 lb pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)

1 cup marinara sauce

2 cups shredded mozzarella

12β16 slices pepperoni or 1 cup diced cooked sausage/veggies

2 tbsp olive oil

2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tsp dried oregano
-
1/2 tsp dried basil (or 1 tsp fresh)

1/4 cup diced roasted red bell pepper

2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley or basil

1/4 cup grated Parmesan (optional)

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 egg + 1 tbsp water (egg wash)
Instructions

Preheat oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment.

Roll dough and cut into 12β16 squares.

In each square, place 1 tbsp marinara, a sprinkle of mozzarella, pepperoni/veggie, and a few red pepper pieces.

Brush edges with egg wash; fold and seal each pocket. Place seam-side down on baking sheet.

Mix melted butter with garlic; brush over each bomb. Sprinkle Parmesan and extra cheese if desired.

Bake 14β18 minutes until golden brown. Brush with remaining garlic butter.

Garnish with chopped parsley/basil and serve with warm marinara for dipping.
