For the Cake:

For the Frosting:

8 oz cream cheese, softened

Β½ cup unsalted butter, softened

4 cups powdered sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

ΒΌ cup crushed pineapple (drained)

Β½ cup chopped pecans (for topping)
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C). Grease and flour a 9×13-inch pan.

Make the batter: In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt. Add eggs, pineapple with juice, oil, vanilla, and pecans. Mix until well combined.

Bake the cake: Pour into pan and bake for 35β40 minutes. Cool completely in the pan.

Make frosting: Beat cream cheese and butter until smooth. Add powdered sugar gradually. Stir in vanilla and drained pineapple.

Frost the cake: Spread frosting on the cooled cake and top with chopped pecans.
