Ingredients
Cake:

2 cups all-purpose flour

2 cups sugar

4 tbsp cocoa powder

1 tsp baking soda

ΒΌ tsp salt

1 cup boiling water

1 cup butter
-
Β½ cup buttermilk or sour cream

2 eggs, beaten

1 tsp vanilla extract
Icing:

6 tbsp whole milk
-
4 tbsp butter
-
4 tbsp cocoa powder
-
1 tsp vanilla
-
3 Β½ cups powdered sugar
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350Β°F. Spray mini muffin pans.

Mix dry ingredients: flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, salt.

Stir boiling water, butter, buttermilk, and vanilla. Add to dry mix.

Add beaten eggs; mix until smooth.

Scoop 1 tbsp batter into each muffin well. Bake 8β10 minutes.

Let cool completely.

For icing, microwave milk, butter, and vanilla until melted. Stir in cocoa.

Pour over powdered sugar and whisk until smooth.

Drizzle icing over cooled bites. Let set before serving.
