- 1/2 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 15 oz can green beans, drained
- 10.75 oz can condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 cups frozen tater tots
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare the Baking Dish: Lightly grease an 8 or 9-inch baking dish with cooking spray and set aside.
- Cook the Beef: In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat until fully cooked. Drain any excess fat from the skillet.
- Add Onions and Garlic: Add the diced onions to the skillet and sauté for 4-5 minutes until they become translucent. Follow with the minced garlic and cook for another minute, stirring frequently.
- Season the Beef: Stir in the Worcestershire sauce and season the beef mixture with salt and pepper to taste.
- Layer the Casserole: Transfer the beef mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread evenly. Layer the cream of mushroom soup over the beef, followed by the drained green beans. Sprinkle each layer lightly with salt and pepper. Cover the green beans with shredded cheddar cheese.
- Add Tater Tots: Arrange the frozen tater tots on top of the cheese layer, covering the surface evenly.
- Bake: Place the dish in the oven and bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and the cheese has melted.
- Serve: Remove the casserole from the oven and let it sit for a few minutes before serving to allow the layers to set.
