  • 2 tbsp taco seasoning
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • ½ tsp chili powder
  • ¼ cup water
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional toppings: shredded cheese, sour cream, chopped green onions, cilantro

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Add chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet, sautéing until the onion is translucent.
  3. Transfer the beef mixture to a slow cooker or large pot (if cooking on the stovetop).
  4. Add black beans, corn, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, taco seasoning, cumin, chili powder, and water. Stir to combine.
  5. For slow cooker: Cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
    For stovetop: Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 30 minutes.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot with your choice of toppings for a festive, personalized touch.
