Ingredients

For the Shrimp Marinade:

  • 14 oz (400 grams) shrimp
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/3 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tsp vegetable oil

For the Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 2 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp dark soy sauce

For the Stir Fry:

  • 2-3 tbsp vegetable oil for stir-frying
  • 12 oz (340 grams) broccoli
  • 8 cloves garlic, diced
  • 1/2 tbsp minced ginger
  • A few dried red chilies (optional)
  • 2 tbsp water

Directions

  1. Marinate the Shrimp: Use paper towels to dry the shrimp, then season with salt, paprika, black pepper, and a drizzle of vegetable oil. Mix well and set aside.
  2. Prepare the Sauce: In a bowl, combine the water, sugar, oyster sauce, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, cornstarch, and dark soy sauce. Set the sauce aside.
