Ingredients

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup buttermilk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp red food coloring

For the Red Glaze & Garnish:

  • ½ cup red velvet cake crumbs (optional, from cake trimmings)
  • ½ cup strawberry or raspberry sauce (for dripping effect)
  • Whipped cream, for decorating
  • Whole Oreo cookies, for garnish

Instructions

Step 1: Make the Oreo Crust

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C).
  2. Mix crushed Oreos and melted butter in a bowl.
  3. Press into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan and bake for 10 minutes.
  4. Set aside to cool.

Step 2: Prepare the Cheesecake Layer

  1. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
  2. Add vanilla extract, eggs (one at a time), and sour cream, mixing until fully incorporated.
  3. Pour over the cooled Oreo crust and bake for 30-35 minutes until just set.
