Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 1/2 cup bell pepper (optional)
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup pizza sauce or marinara
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/2 cup chopped pepperoni
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella
- 4β6 hamburger buns
Instructions
- In a skillet, brown ground beef. Drain excess fat.
- Add onion, garlic, and bell pepper. SautΓ© 3β4 minutes.
- Season with Italian herbs, salt, pepper, and red flakes.
- Stir in pizza sauce. Simmer for 5β7 minutes.
- Add pepperoni and stir in cheese until melted.
- Toast buns and fill generously. Serve hot.

- Use ground turkey or sausage for variation.
