Ingredients
For the Bars:

½ cup unsalted butter, softened

½ cup creamy peanut butter

¾ cup brown sugar

¼ cup granulated sugar

1 large egg
-
1 tsp vanilla extract

1 cup all-purpose flour

½ tsp baking soda

¼ tsp salt
Topping Options:

½ cup warm peanut butter (for frosting)

OR 1 cup melted chocolate chips
-
OR Hershey’s Kisses or mini PB cups
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F. Line 8×8 pan with parchment or grease.

In large bowl, beat butter, peanut butter, and sugars until fluffy.

Add egg and vanilla. Mix until smooth.

Stir in flour, baking soda, and salt. Do not overmix.

Spread dough in pan. Smooth top.

Bake 22–26 minutes until golden.

Let cool 10 minutes. Spread topping of choice.

Cool completely. Slice and serve.
