Peach Cobbler

The best part? It’s super easy to make with just a few pantry staples. Whether you’re using fresh, frozen, or canned peaches, this simple yet indulgent dessert is guaranteed to be a crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients

For the Peach Filling:

  • 2 cups fresh sliced peaches (or canned peaches, drained)
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice (balances the sweetness)

For the Cobbler Topping:

  • 1 cup Bisquick mix (or all-purpose flour)
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup melted butter
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder (if using flour instead of Bisquick)
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Peaches

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×9-inch baking dish.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix sliced peaches, sugar, nutmeg, cinnamon, vanilla, and lemon juice.
  3. Let it sit for 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.

Step 2: Make the Cobbler Batter

  1. In another bowl, whisk together Bisquick mix (or flour), sugar, milk, baking powder, and salt until smooth.
  2. Pour the melted butter into the prepared baking dish.
  3. Pour the cobbler batter over the butter—do not stir.

Step 3: Assemble & Bake

  1. Spoon the peach mixture evenly over the batter.
  2. Do not stir—the batter will rise up around the peaches while baking.
  3. Bake for 40-45 minutes until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
  4. Let it cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.
