Ingredients
For the Cake:
- 4 large eggs
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ¾ cup all-purpose flour
- ½ tsp baking powder
- Pinch of salt
- Powdered sugar (for dusting)

- ½ cup heavy cream
- ½ cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark)
- 2 ripe bananas (peeled and whole)

Instructions
1. Make the Sponge Cake
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line a 10×15-inch jelly roll pan with parchment paper.
- Beat eggs and sugar together for 5 minutes until pale and thick.
- Stir in vanilla.
- Gently fold in flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Pour into prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, until lightly golden and springs back to touch.
2. Roll and Cool
- While still warm, dust with powdered sugar.
- Flip cake onto a clean kitchen towel and peel off parchment.
- Roll cake (with the towel) from the short end and let cool completely.
3. Make the Chocolate Filling
- Heat cream until steaming, then pour over chocolate chips.
- Let sit 1 minute, then stir until smooth.
- Let cool until thick but spreadable.
4. Assemble the Dream Roll
- Unroll cooled cake gently.
- Spread chocolate filling evenly.
- Place bananas at the start of the roll.
- Roll tightly and transfer to serving plate.
5. Top It Off
- Drizzle with melted chocolate.
- Add banana slices and chocolate shavings.
- Chill for 30 minutes before slicing.
