Ingredients

For the Dip:

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning (or Old Bay)
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp hot sauce (like Tabasco)
  • ½ tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 lb lump crab meat (fresh or canned, drained)
  • 2 tbsp chopped green onions
  • 1 tbsp chopped parsley

For the Topping:

  • ¼ cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 tbsp butter, melted
  • Extra shredded cheese (optional)

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat & Prep

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Grease a small baking dish or cast-iron skillet with butter or non-stick spray.

Step 2: Make the Creamy Base

  1. In a skillet, melt 2 tbsp butter over medium heat.
  2. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in cream cheese, mayo, sour cream, Parmesan, cheddar cheese, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, hot sauce, Cajun seasoning, and smoked paprika.
  4. Mix until smooth and well combined.

Step 3: Fold in the Crab

  1. Gently fold in lump crab meat, green onions, and parsley.
  2. Be careful not to break up the crab too much—you want nice big chunks!

Step 4: Add Toppings & Bake

  1. Transfer the crab mixture into the prepared baking dish.
  2. In a small bowl, mix panko breadcrumbs with melted butter, then sprinkle over the dip.
  3. Optional: Add extra shredded cheese on top for a gooey finish.
  4. Bake for 20 minutes, or until the dip is hot and bubbling.

Step 5: Serve & Enjoy!

  1. Remove from the oven and garnish with extra parsley and green onions.
  2. Serve immediately with toasted bread, crackers, tortilla chips, or fresh veggies.
  3. Enjoy the cheesy, spicy, and utterly delicious Louisiana-style crab dip!
