- 8 oz cream cheese, softened 🧀
- 1/2 cup sour cream 🥛

- 1 cup shredded cheese (Gruyère, mozzarella, or cheddar) 🧀
- Fresh thyme or parsley for garnish 🌿
Instructions
In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add onions, sugar, and salt. Cook slowly, stirring often, for 25-30 minutes, until onions are deep golden and jammy. Stir in vinegar.
In a bowl, mix cream cheese, sour cream, mayo (if using), and half the shredded cheese. Fold in caramelized onions.
Transfer to a baking dish. Top with remaining cheese. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20-25 minutes, until golden and bubbling.
Garnish with thyme or parsley. Serve warm with crackers, bread, chips, or veggies.
