This salmon is buttery, caramelized, and full of bold flavors from the honey garlic marinade.

Ingredients

For the Salmon:

  • 1 ½ lbs salmon fillet (skin-on or skinless)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon paprika (optional, for color)
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley, for garnish

For the Honey Garlic Sauce:

  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 ½ tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard (optional, adds depth)

 


Instructions

1. Preheat the Oven & Prepare the Foil

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and lightly grease it.

2. Make the Honey Garlic Sauce

  • In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, lemon juice, and Dijon mustard.

3. Season the Salmon

  • Place the salmon fillet on the prepared foil.
  • Drizzle olive oil over the top and season with salt, black pepper, paprika, and red pepper flakes.

4. Add the Sauce & Seal the Foil

  • Pour the honey garlic sauce evenly over the salmon.
  • Fold the sides of the foil over the salmon, sealing it tightly into a packet.

5. Bake the Salmon

  • Bake for 15-18 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillet.
  • Carefully open the foil and broil for 2-3 minutes to caramelize the top.

6. Garnish & Serve

  • Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges.
  • Enjoy over rice, roasted vegetables, or a fresh salad!
