Ingredients
For the Salmon:
- 1 ½ lbs salmon fillet (skin-on or skinless)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon paprika (optional, for color)
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley, for garnish
For the Honey Garlic Sauce:
- 3 tablespoons butter, melted
- ¼ cup honey
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 ½ tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard (optional, adds depth)
Instructions
1. Preheat the Oven & Prepare the Foil
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and lightly grease it.
2. Make the Honey Garlic Sauce
- In a small bowl, whisk together melted butter, honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, lemon juice, and Dijon mustard.
3. Season the Salmon
- Place the salmon fillet on the prepared foil.
- Drizzle olive oil over the top and season with salt, black pepper, paprika, and red pepper flakes.
4. Add the Sauce & Seal the Foil
- Pour the honey garlic sauce evenly over the salmon.
- Fold the sides of the foil over the salmon, sealing it tightly into a packet.
5. Bake the Salmon
- Bake for 15-18 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fillet.
- Carefully open the foil and broil for 2-3 minutes to caramelize the top.
6. Garnish & Serve
- Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges.
- Enjoy over rice, roasted vegetables, or a fresh salad!
