- 1 lb ground beef (80/20 for best flavor)
- 3 cups broccoli florets (fresh or frozen)
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil (or sesame oil for added nuttiness)
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ tsp ginger, minced
- ½ tsp salt & black pepper
For the Stir-Fry Sauce:
- ¼ cup soy sauce (low sodium preferred)
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce (adds deep umami)
- 1 tbsp hoisin sauce (for slight sweetness)
- 1 tsp brown sugar (balances the flavors)
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
- 1 tsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (to thicken the sauce)

Instructions
Step 1: Brown the Beef
- Heat 1 tbsp oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add ground beef, season with salt & pepper, and cook until browned (about 5 minutes).
- Drain excess grease if needed, then add garlic & ginger, cooking for 1 minute until fragrant.
Step 2: Cook the Broccoli
- Add broccoli florets to the pan with the beef.
- Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until the broccoli is bright green and slightly tender.
(For extra tender broccoli, cover the pan for 1-2 minutes to steam.)
Step 3: Make the Sauce
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, brown sugar, red pepper flakes, and cornstarch mixture.
- Pour the sauce into the skillet and stir well to coat the beef and broccoli.
- Cook for 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens.
Step 4: Serve & Enjoy!
- Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
- Serve hot over steamed rice, noodles, or cauliflower rice for a low-carb option.
