Ingredients
- ½ cup (120g) Greek yogurt (plain, full-fat or low-fat)
- ½ cup (100g) granulated sugar
- ¼ cup (50g) brown sugar (adds moisture and depth)
- ½ cup (100g) melted dark chocolate
- ⅓ cup (30g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 large eggs
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- ⅓ cup (40g) all-purpose flour (or substitute with almond flour for gluten-free)
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ½ cup (90g) chocolate chips (optional, for extra gooeyness)
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat & Prepare
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line a 8×8-inch (20×20 cm) baking pan with parchment paper or grease it lightly.
Step 2: Melt the Chocolate
- In a microwave-safe bowl, melt dark chocolate in 20-second intervals, stirring between each until smooth.
- Let it cool slightly.
Step 3: Mix Wet Ingredients
- In a large bowl, whisk together Greek yogurt, sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Stir in the melted chocolate.
Step 4: Add Dry Ingredients
- Sift in the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder.
- Gently fold everything together until just combined—do not overmix.
- Stir in chocolate chips for extra richness.
Step 5: Bake
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out slightly gooey (for fudgy brownies) or mostly clean (for firmer brownies).
Step 6: Cool & Serve
- Let the brownies cool completely before slicing to allow them to set.
- For extra indulgence, dust with cocoa powder or drizzle with melted chocolate.
