To make a batch of rich Greek yogurt brownies, you’ll need:

Ingredients

  • ½ cup (120g) Greek yogurt (plain, full-fat or low-fat)
  • ½ cup (100g) granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup (50g) brown sugar (adds moisture and depth)
  • ½ cup (100g) melted dark chocolate
  • ⅓ cup (30g) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ⅓ cup (40g) all-purpose flour (or substitute with almond flour for gluten-free)
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ cup (90g) chocolate chips (optional, for extra gooeyness)


Instructions

Step 1: Preheat & Prepare

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Line a 8×8-inch (20×20 cm) baking pan with parchment paper or grease it lightly.

Step 2: Melt the Chocolate

  • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt dark chocolate in 20-second intervals, stirring between each until smooth.
  • Let it cool slightly.

Step 3: Mix Wet Ingredients

  • In a large bowl, whisk together Greek yogurt, sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • Stir in the melted chocolate.

Step 4: Add Dry Ingredients

  • Sift in the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder.
  • Gently fold everything together until just combined—do not overmix.
  • Stir in chocolate chips for extra richness.

Step 5: Bake

  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  • Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out slightly gooey (for fudgy brownies) or mostly clean (for firmer brownies).
