Ingredients
-
- 1 pound sirloin steak, cut into thin strips
-
- 1 pound small red potatoes, quartered
-
- 3 tablespoons butter
-
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
-
- Salt and pepper, to taste
-
- Chopped fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
1. Sear the Steak
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add the steak strips to the skillet and cook until browned on both sides, about 2–3 minutes per side.
Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
2. Cook the Potatoes
In the same skillet, add the quartered potatoes. Cook until tender, about 8–10 minutes. Stir occasionally to prevent burning and ensure even browning.
3. Add Garlic Butter
Add the butter and minced garlic to the skillet with the potatoes. Stir until the butter is melted and the garlic is fragrant — this only takes about a minute.
4. Combine and Finish
Add the cooked steak back to the skillet. Season everything generously with salt and pepper. Stir to combine and heat through.
5. Garnish and Serve
Top with fresh chopped parsley, plate up, and enjoy!
Notes
This dish is satisfying on its own, but if you’re looking to round it out, try pairing it with:
-
- A crisp green salad — Arugula or spinach with lemon vinaigrette.
-
- Steamed green beans or asparagus
-
- Crusty bread — To mop up that extra garlic butter.
-
- A glass of red wine — A medium-bodied Merlot or Cabernet Sauvignon complements the beef beautifully.
