If you’re looking for a restaurant-quality salmon dish that’s rich, creamy, and bursting with flavor, this Garlic Butter Parmesan Salmon is the ultimate choice. Tender, flaky salmon fillets are pan-seared to perfection and then simmered in a luxurious garlic butter cream sauce infused with Parmesan cheese, spinach, and crispy bacon.

Ingredients

For the Salmon:

  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon paprika

For the Garlic Butter Parmesan Sauce:

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream (or half-and-half for a lighter option)
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for a little heat)
  • 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
  • ¼ cup crispy bacon bits (optional, but delicious!)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

1. Sear the Salmon

  • Pat the salmon fillets dry with a paper towel.
  • Season both sides with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Place salmon fillets skin-side down and cook for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
  • Remove from the pan and set aside.

2. Make the Garlic Butter Sauce

  • In the same pan, melt butter and add garlic, sautéing for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  • Pour in heavy cream, stirring well.
  • Add Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes, whisking until smooth and creamy.

3. Add the Spinach & Bacon

  • Stir in the chopped spinach and cook for 1-2 minutes until wilted.
  • Add bacon bits, stirring to combine.

4. Return the Salmon to the Pan

  • Nestle the salmon fillets back into the sauce, spooning some over the top.
  • Simmer for 2-3 minutes until the salmon is heated through and the sauce thickens slightly.

5. Serve & Enjoy!

  • Garnish with fresh parsley and extra Parmesan.
  • Serve immediately over pasta, rice, mashed potatoes, or with crusty bread.
