Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Prepare the Salmon
- Pat the salmon dry with a paper towel.
- Season both sides with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
2. Sear the Salmon
- Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Place salmon fillets skin-side down and cook for 4-5 minutes, until crispy.
- Flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes, until golden brown.
- Transfer the salmon to a plate and set aside.
3. Make the Garlic Butter Parmesan Sauce
- In the same pan, melt butter and add garlic, sautéing for 30 seconds.
- Pour in chicken broth (or white wine) and let it reduce for 1 minute.
- Stir in heavy cream, parmesan, lemon juice, and Italian seasoning.
- Simmer for 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens.
4. Combine & Serve
- Return the salmon to the skillet and spoon the sauce over the fillets.
- Simmer for 1-2 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
