Ingredients
For the Brownies:
- 1 box strawberry cake mix
- 2 large eggs
- ⅓ cup vegetable oil
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup fresh strawberries, finely chopped
For the Strawberry Glaze:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons strawberry puree (or mashed fresh strawberries)
- 1 tablespoon milk or heavy cream
- ½ teaspoon lemon juice (optional, for tangy flavor)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Batter
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line a 9×9-inch baking dish with parchment paper and grease lightly.
- In a bowl, mix cake mix, eggs, oil, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Gently fold in chopped strawberries.
2. Bake the Brownies
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish.
- Spread evenly and bake for 18-22 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Let cool completely before adding the glaze.
3. Make the Strawberry Glaze
- In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, strawberry puree, milk, and lemon juice until smooth.
4. Glaze & Serve
- Pour the glaze over the cooled brownies and spread evenly.
- Let the glaze set for 10-15 minutes, then slice into squares and serve!
