Ingredients
- 2 cans refrigerated crescent rolls
- 2 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ cup powdered sugar (for glaze, optional)
- 2 tablespoons milk (for glaze, optional)
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat & Prepare
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
Step 2: Prepare the Cream Cheese Filling
- In a large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
- Set aside while preparing the dough.
Step 3: Assemble the Danish
- Unroll one can of crescent rolls and press the dough into the bottom of the baking dish, sealing the perforations to create a solid sheet.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the dough.
- Unroll the second can of crescent rolls and place it over the cream cheese layer, again sealing any perforations.
Step 4: Bake
- Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is set.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool completely before adding the glaze.
Step 5: Make the Glaze (Optional)
- In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar and milk until smooth.
- Drizzle over the cooled danish before slicing and serving.
