Ingredients

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

  • 1 ½ cups heavy cream
  • ¾ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch + 2 tablespoons water (optional, for thickening)

For Garnish:

  • Fresh basil or parsley
  • Extra Parmesan cheese


Instructions

Step 1: Season & Sear the Chicken

  1. Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  2. Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat and sear the chicken for 2–3 minutes per side until lightly golden. (This step adds flavor but is optional!)

Step 2: Make the Sauce

  1. In the same pan, sauté garlic, Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, and sun-dried tomatoes for 1 minute until fragrant.
  2. Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan, and chicken broth, mixing well.
  3. Simmer for 2 minutes, then transfer the sauce to the crock pot.

Step 3: Slow Cook

  1. Place the seared chicken in the slow cooker.
  2. Pour the creamy sauce over the chicken.
  3. Cover and cook on LOW for 4–5 hours or HIGH for 2–3 hours, until the chicken is tender.
  4. If you prefer a thicker sauce, mix cornstarch with water and stir it into the slow cooker for the last 30 minutes.

Step 4: Serve & Enjoy

  • Garnish with fresh basil or parsley and extra Parmesan cheese.
