Instructions
- Prepare the Filling:
- In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, minced onion, carrots, bell peppers, garlic powder, black pepper, celery, salt, and the egg. Mix well.
- Cover and refrigerate the mixture for at least 1 hour or overnight for a richer flavor.
- Assemble the Lumpia:
- Lay a lumpia wrapper flat and place about 1 tablespoon of the filling near the bottom corner.
- Fold the bottom end over the filling, then fold in both sides. Brush the top end with water or egg wash and roll tightly to seal.
- Repeat the process with the remaining wrappers and filling.
- Fry the Lumpia:
- Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium-low heat.
- Fry the lumpia in batches, ensuring they are evenly spaced to avoid sticking. Cook until golden brown and crispy, about 3-5 minutes per batch.
- Drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
- Serve:
- Serve hot with sweet and sour or sweet chili sauce. Enjoy with family and friends!
