1 tablespoon olive oil
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon paprika
For the Creamy Sauce:
1 tablespoon butter
3 cloves garlic, minced
½ cup chicken or vegetable broth
1 cup heavy cream (or half-and-half for a lighter option)
½ cup grated parmesan cheese
⅓ cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Prepare & Sear the Salmon
Pat the salmon dry with a paper towel.
Season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Sear salmon skin-side down for 4-5 minutes until golden and crispy.
Flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes, then remove from the pan and set aside.
2. Make the Creamy Sauce
In the same pan, melt butter and add garlic. Sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
Pour in broth, scraping the pan to deglaze.
Stir in heavy cream, parmesan, sun-dried tomatoes, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes.
Simmer for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens.
Add lemon juice and stir.
3. Combine & Serve
Return the salmon to the skillet, spooning sauce over the fillets.
Let simmer for 1-2 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
