1 tbsp onion, finely grated

⅓ cup sugar

½ cup mayonnaise

¼ cup buttermilk, well shaken

¼ cup whole milk

1½ tbsp white vinegar

2½ tbsp fresh lemon juice

½ tsp salt

⅛ tsp black pepper

8 cups or 1 (16 oz) bag of coleslaw cabbage mix, finely diced

¼ cup carrot, shredded (omit if using mix with carrots)
Instructions

In a large bowl, whisk together the onion, sugar, mayonnaise, buttermilk, milk, vinegar, lemon juice, salt, and pepper until smooth.

Add coleslaw mix and shredded carrot (if using). Stir until evenly coated.

Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.

Stir before serving and enjoy chilled!
