Our Chocolate Brownie Cookies are a delightful fusion of the best qualities of brownies and cookies, all in one bite. They have that perfect, slightly crisp edge and a decadent, gooey center that makes them a must-try for anyone with a sweet tooth.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter and granulated sugar until well combined.
  3. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips and chopped nuts, if using.
  7. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cookies are set around the edges but still soft in the center.
  9. Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
