Ingredients

For the Cherry Syrup:

  • 1 cup fresh or frozen cherries, pitted and chopped
  • ¼ cup honey or maple syrup
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon (optional, for warmth)
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup water

For the Earl Grey Milk Tea:

  • 2 Earl Grey tea bags
  • 1 cup hot water
  • ½ cup milk (dairy or non-dairy: oat, almond, or coconut)
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

For Serving:

  • Ice cubes (for iced version)
  • Fresh cherries for garnish
  • Cinnamon stick (optional, for stirring and aroma)

Instructions

Step 1: Make the Cherry Syrup

  1. In a small saucepan, combine chopped cherries, honey (or maple syrup), cinnamon, vanilla, and water.
  2. Simmer over medium heat for 5–7 minutes, mashing the cherries as they soften.
  3. Strain the syrup through a fine mesh sieve to remove solids. Set aside.

Step 2: Brew the Earl Grey Tea

  1. Steep Earl Grey tea bags in hot water for 5 minutes.
  2. Remove tea bags and stir in vanilla extract. Let cool slightly.

Step 3: Prepare the Milk

  • Warm the milk for a hot latte OR chill it for an iced tea.

Step 4: Assemble & Serve

  1. Pour cherry syrup into a mug.
