- 1 (21 oz) can cherry pie filling
- ¼ cup chopped pecans or graham cracker crumbs (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Crust
- In a bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and sugar until combined.
- Press the mixture firmly into a 9×13-inch baking dish or square pan.
- Refrigerate while preparing the cheesecake layers.
Step 2: Make the Cheesecake Layer
- In a large bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Gently fold in whipped topping until fluffy and well combined.
- Spread this mixture evenly over the chilled crust.
Step 3: Prepare the Cherry Cream Layer
- In a clean bowl, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
- Fold in ½ cup of cherry pie filling and whipped topping, mixing gently.
- Spread this layer evenly over the cheesecake layer.
Step 4: Add the Topping
- Spread the remaining cherry pie filling over the top.
- Sprinkle with chopped pecans or extra graham cracker crumbs if desired.
Step 5: Chill & Serve
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.
- Slice into squares and serve chilled.
