Notes
Tips for the Best Cheesy Rotel Dogs
🔥 Use good quality sausages – The better the sausage, the better the hot dog! Try brats, smoked sausage, or all-beef hot dogs for max flavor.
🧀 Choose the right cheese – Cheddar adds sharpness, while Velveeta makes it ultra-creamy. A mix of both is heavenly.
🌶 Adjust the spice level – If you like it mild, use mild Rotel and skip the cayenne. Want it extra spicy? Add chopped jalapeños to the cheese sauce!
🍞 Toast the buns! – It makes a huge difference. A crispy, buttered bun keeps the hot dog from getting soggy.
🥓 Add extra toppings – Bacon, jalapeños, crispy onions, or even a fried egg will take these hot dogs over the top.
