Ingredients

  • 1 pound (500g) green beans, ends trimmed
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh Parmesan cheese, shredded
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning (optional, for extra flavor)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat & Prepare

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or grease it lightly.

Step 2: Toss the Green Beans

  • In a large bowl, toss the trimmed green beans with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.

(💡 Pro Tip: For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a little heat!)

Step 3: Arrange & Roast

  • Spread the green beans in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Roast for 10 minutes in the preheated oven.

Step 4: Add the Cheese

  • Remove from the oven and sprinkle the shredded Parmesan cheese evenly over the green beans.
  • Return to the oven and bake for another 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is golden and bubbly.

(💡 For Extra Crispiness: Broil on high for 1-2 minutes at the end for a crispy, cheesy topping!)
