Ingredients
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 eggs
- 2 tablespoons baking powder
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

For the icing:
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 3–4 tablespoons milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Sprinkles for decoration
Instructions
- Preparation: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Make the cookie dough:
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture, mixing until well combined.
- Shape and bake:
- Scoop tablespoons of dough and roll into balls.
- Place on the prepared baking sheets and slightly flatten with your hand.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes or until the cookies are lightly golden.
- Remove from the oven and let cool on wire racks.
- Decorate:
- For the icing, mix together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Dip the top of each cooled cookie into the icing, then place back on the wire rack.
- Sprinkle with colorful sprinkles immediately and allow the icing to set before serving.
