Ingredients
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled & deveined
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- ¼ cup honey
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional for heat)
- ¼ tsp paprika
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
Step 1: Prep the Shrimp
- Pat the shrimp dry with a paper towel (this helps them sear better).
- Season with paprika and black pepper.
Step 2: Make the Honey Garlic Sauce
- In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, lemon juice, and red pepper flakes.
Step 3: Sear the Shrimp
- Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add shrimp in a single layer and cook for 1-2 minutes per side, until pink and slightly caramelized.
- Remove shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
Step 4: Cook the Garlic & Glaze
- In the same skillet, melt 1 tbsp butter and add minced garlic. Sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in the honey garlic sauce, stirring for 1-2 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Add the shrimp back in, tossing to coat them evenly in the sauce.
- Cook for another 1-2 minutes, then remove from heat.
Step 5: Serve & Enjoy!
- Garnish with fresh parsley.
- Serve hot over rice, pasta, or roasted vegetables.
