Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour πΎ
- 1 tbsp sugar π¬
- 1 tbsp baking powder π₯
- 1 tsp salt π§
- 1 3/4 cups buttermilk π₯
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted π§
Instructions
Preheat oven to 450Β°F (230Β°C). Pour melted butter into an 8×8-inch baking dish.
In a bowl, whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Add buttermilk and stir until combined. Dough will be sticky and soft.
Pour dough directly into the butter-filled dish. Gently spread to edges. Score dough into 9 squares with a knife.
Bake for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown on top and set in the center.
Let cool slightly. Slice along score lines and serve warm with your favorite toppings.
