Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 (5 oz) package instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 (12 oz) container whipped topping, thawed
  • 4 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 1 (11 oz) box vanilla wafers
  • Additional whipped topping and banana slices for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the milk and vanilla pudding mix until smooth. Let it sit for about 5 minutes to thicken.
  2. In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy. Gently fold in the whipped topping until well combined.
  3. In a 9×13 inch baking dish, spread half of the pudding mixture on the bottom. Layer half of the sliced bananas on top, followed by a layer of vanilla wafers.
  4. Spread half of the cream cheese mixture over the wafers. Repeat the layers, finishing with the remaining pudding mixture on top.
  5. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight, to allow the flavors to meld and the dessert to set.
  6. Before serving, garnish with additional whipped topping and banana slices, if desired.
