Ingredients

For the Brownie Layer:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 ¾ cups granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp baking powder

For the Banana Pudding Layer:

  • 1 (3.4 oz) box instant banana pudding mix
  • 1 cup milk
  • ½ cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup whipped topping (Cool Whip or homemade whipped cream)
  • 1 large banana, sliced

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Brownie Batter

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9-inch baking pan and line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together melted butter and sugar until smooth.
  3. Add eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
  5. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until smooth.

Step 2: Bake the Brownie Layer

  1. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan.
  2. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until the edges are set but the center is slightly soft.
  3. Let the brownies cool completely before adding the pudding layer.

Step 3: Make the Banana Pudding Layer

  1. In a bowl, whisk together banana pudding mix and milk until smooth.
  2. Stir in sweetened condensed milk and let sit for 5 minutes to thicken.
  3. Gently fold in whipped topping for a light, fluffy texture.

Step 4: Assemble the Brownies

  1. Spread the banana pudding layer evenly over the cooled brownies.
  2. Arrange banana slices on top for extra flavor.
  3. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to set.

Step 5: Serve & Enjoy!

  1. Slice into squares and serve chilled for the best texture.
  2. Optional: Drizzle with chocolate sauce or top with crushed vanilla wafers for extra crunch.
