Ingredients

Scale

For the Beef:

  • 1 pound deli roast beef
  • ½ cup water
  • 4 onion buns

For the Cheese Sauce:

  • 8 oz Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • ¼ cup whole milk
  • ¼ teaspoon paprika

For the Red Ranch Sauce:

  • ½ cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Warm the Roast Beef:
In a large skillet, heat the deli roast beef and water over medium heat. Cover and cook for about 5 minutes until heated through.
  2. Make the Cheese Sauce:
In a small saucepan, combine the shredded Cheddar cheese, whole milk, and paprika. Heat over low, stirring occasionally, until the cheese melts and the sauce becomes smooth.
  3. Prepare the Red Ranch Sauce:
In another saucepan, combine ketchup, water, apple cider vinegar, sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, and a pinch of salt. Cook over medium heat for 4-5 minutes until heated through.
  4. Assemble the Sandwiches:
Split the onion buns in half and spread a generous amount of red ranch sauce over the bottom of each bun. Drain any excess water from the roast beef and divide it evenly among the sandwiches.
  5. Add Cheese and Serve:
Top the roast beef with the cheese sauce and cover with the top bun. Serve immediately and enjoy!
