🍹 Piña Colada Sangria – A Tropical Twist on a Classic

This sangria combines the fresh, crisp notes of white wine with the creamy sweetness of coconut rum and the bright tang of pineapple juice. The added fruit makes it even more festive and flavorful.

Ingredients

  • 1 bottle (750 ml) white wine – Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio are perfect choices

  • 2 cups pineapple juice – Use 100% juice for best flavor

  • 1 cup coconut rum – Like Malibu or a similar brand

  • ½ cup club soda (optional, for a fizzy finish)

  • 1 cup pineapple chunks – Fresh or canned (drained)

  • 1 cup mango chunks – Fresh, frozen, or thawed

  • Fresh pineapple slices, for garnish

🍷 Wine Tip: Use a dry or semi-dry white wine. Sauvignon Blanc adds citrusy notes while Pinot Grigio keeps it light and fruity.

Instructions

Step 1: Mix the Base

In a large pitcher, combine:

  • White wine

  • Pineapple juice

  • Coconut rum

Stir well until all liquids are fully incorporated.

Step 2: Add the Fruit

Stir in the pineapple and mango chunks. These not only infuse flavor but make your sangria look beautifully vibrant and tropical.

Step 3: Chill

Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or ideally overnight, to let the flavors meld. The longer it sits, the better it tastes!

Step 4: Add Fizz (Optional)

Just before serving, pour in ½ cup club soda if you want a light, sparkling finish. Stir gently.

Step 5: Serve & Garnish

Serve the sangria over ice, making sure each glass gets a few pieces of fruit. Garnish with a pineapple slice or even a maraschino cherry for that true island vibe.

🍹 Entertaining Tip: Serve in clear glasses to show off the bright fruit pieces—this drink is just as pretty as it is tasty.
