Praline Crunch

Ingredients

  • 4 cups Rice Krispies or cornflakes

  • 1 cup chopped pecans, peanuts, or almonds

  • 1 stick (½ cup) unsalted butter

  • 1 cup packed light brown sugar

  • ½ cup corn syrup or honey

  • ½ cup sweetened condensed milk

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • Pinch of salt

  • Optional: chocolate chips, toffee bits, marshmallows

Instructions

  1. Line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment and grease lightly.

  2. In a large bowl, mix cereal and chopped nuts.

  3. In a saucepan, combine butter, brown sugar, and corn syrup. Bring to a boil and simmer 3–4 minutes, stirring constantly.

  4. Remove from heat and stir in condensed milk and vanilla.

  5. Pour hot caramel over cereal mixture and stir to coat evenly.

  6. Press mixture firmly into prepared pan. Let cool at room temp 1–2 hours.

  7. Cut into bars or break into pieces. Store in an airtight container.
